OEM Stylus

Pilot made its first custom stylus in 1986 for a CAD system designed by a major computer company in Japan. Numerous projects followed leading to the first OEM project in the US with IBM in 1993. Millions of styluses later, Pilot is recognized as the authority on styluses for touch screen applications.

Extensive research and testing goes into the development and design of each stylus. The shape and material of the tip are expertly selected and engineered to yield the optimum writing characteristics for ease of use and screen safety. GlideTip™ styli are engineered with a custom blend of wear-resistant polymers to protect touch sensitive screens while providing greater writing comfort and improved character recognition. TouchTip™ styli incorporate softer materials better suited to touch and tap input and for use on thin film keypads.
